Real Talk: Treatments, Supplements & When to See a Specialist

By Leonardo Rocco

As hair care evolves, more people are asking about advanced treatments and supplements. Here’s what works, what doesn’t, and when it’s time to call a professional.

1. Creatine & Hair Loss: What’s the Link?

Creatine is a popular supplement among gymgoers, but rumors claim it accelerates hair loss. While there's no conclusive evidence, it may raise DHT levels—a hormone linked to genetic hair loss. If you’re predisposed to alopecia, consult a dermatologist before using it.

2. PRP & Mesotherapy: The Facts

These medical treatments can stimulate hair growth, but they’re not magic solutions. They work best when prescribed and applied by licensed dermatologists, as part of a comprehensive plan. If someone offers these services in a salon without a license—run.

3. Chemical Cuts: What Are They?

A chemical cut happens when hair breaks off due to excessive damage, often after poor bleaching, overlapping treatments, or excessive heat. It's not fixable—only preventable. Never mix chemical products without professional guidance.

4. Hair Falling Out with a White Bulb? Don’t Panic.

That little white dot (the bulb) is simply part of the natural shedding process. We lose 50–100 hairs a day. Unless the loss is excessive, there’s usually no need to worry.
